Local HealthWatch Pathfinder
South Gloucestershire LINk has joined with Bristol LINk and has been given a joint Local HealthWatch Pathfinder status. During the transition from LINk to becoming the Local HealthWatch the pathfinder will be looking at becoming a network of networks and revisiting governance. A Local HealthWatch Pathfinder Strategy Group will be set up consisting of 4 nominated LINk participants, 2 LINk host staff, two Local Authority representatives (1 from South Gloucestershire and 1 from Bristol) and 2 representatives from the South Gloucestershire and Bristol Primary Care Trusts.
The Recent Government White Paper proposes that LINks will become local Healthwatch. Local Healthwatch organisations will ensure that the views and feedback from patients and carers are an integral part of local commissioning across health and social care.
